Composite restorations are one of the most common, yet challenging, procedures we do. In both lecture and clinical video format materials, armamentarium, and techniques to place these restorations predictably with proper contacts, minimal sensitivity, and excellent form and aesthetics will be discussed. You will also have an opportunity to learn sandwich techniques, bonding systems, and composite manipulation techniques. We will discuss practice of evidence-based dentistry protocols in restorative dentistry, using teaching concepts at UCSF and in scientific literature. You will also learn about recent research advancements in bonding.

Speaker Ram M. Vaderhobli DDS, MS 

Ram M. Vaderhobli DDS, MS is a Professor of Clinical professor in the Department of Preventive and Restorative Dental Sciences at UCSF and is the Director for the Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program. He gives continuing dental education courses on the clinical use of dental materials, CAD/CAM dentistry, and is a clinical materials evaluator for numerous dental companies. He is a recipient of the Arthur C. Dugoni California Faculty Award, distinguished faculty award from the American College of Dentist, Academy of Medical Educators inductee and has received numerous awards over the years from graduating classes in recognition for his teaching. He maintains a private clinical practice at the faculty group dental practice at UCSF School of Dentistry.
